Turned parts
Turning, as all machine tool operations, occurs by the step-by-step removal of material from the machined material.
Several machine tools exist, which are differentiated by characteristics, shape, dimension of machined parts and according to production demands such as for small, medium or large series. In addition to most common mechanical control lathes, b&m production can count on a large array of single-spindle or multi-spindle lathes, CNC lathes, fixing headstock and sliding-head CNC lathes which allow us to cover and satisfy all demand for turned parts, with all workable materials.
b&m can use wire-lathes for small parts in large series.
b&m manages the production of parts as follows:
Workable materials range from high speed steel with lead or sulfur, alloy steels as 36SMnPb14 or 39NiCrMo3, stainless steels AISI 303-304-304L-316-430, brass, aluminum alloys (2011,6061,6082) and thermoplastic or thermosetting materials.
Moreover, b&m manages items machined from tube, even welded, of alloy steel or stainless steel.
b&m manages all the production processes like the heating treatment, such as tempering, quenching, hardening, carbonitriding and last but not least, all coating against corrosion, from the electrolytic Zinc coatings with any passivation and sealing, Zinc flakes coating, aesthetic Chrome plating to the Anodizing
Cold forming parts
In recent years the cold forming technology from metal wire has dramatically developed, allowing to obtain a variety of parts which before were only feasible by turning or moulding operations. More number of dies, means more solutions, for example a higher wire to work, more complex parts, larger productions.
Production range is within wire diameter from 0.8 up to 20mm with an under-head length up to 130 mm; from diameter 20 mm to 27 mm we can reach under-head length of 200 mm. Workable materials are alloy steels, stainless steel, Aluminum, Copper and Brass.
Is possible to join to the cold forming any other operation such as machining operations, turning operations in order to cut the costs and obtain various geometrical shapes (milled sides, spherical surfaces, reboring, grooves, notches, tapping). Moreover is possible to supply customized screws, sems screws, assembly operations as well as tie-rods for electrical engines from M4X200 mm to M8X250 mm.
The value chain management includes all followings treatments.
Heat treatments as tempering, quenching, induction hardening, carbonitriding as well as any coating treatments such as electrolytic zinc, zinc flakes, passivation, sealing, aesthetical chrome plating and anodizing are easily managed.
